Current Plan
- Currently has horse stables, zoned R-R
- Plans include:
- Converting bldg into a multiple venue event center
- Adding 2 patio areas, 2 parking lots, & future carriage house
- Relocate existing access to align with Echo Trail
- Adding an access further south on S. English Station
- Eliminating the existing crossing of the Louisville Loop
- Connecting sidewalks from approved Athletic Facility to the Louisville Loop
Concerns / Thoughts
- Property will remain R-R
- Plan follows the vision and intent of the DRO
While the plan utilizes the existing building, their latest proposal shows a 71% increase in parking over their original plan and a total increase in impervious surface by 4.53 acres bringing the impervious surface total to 6.35 acres.Developer agreed to use grass pervious pavers for an additional parking to limit the impervious surfaces.- The additional 181 parking spaces (total of 437 spaces) would have been about the equivalent to adding 65 dwelling units on this property. The asphalt would have been extremely hot and hot runoff into the creek is detrimental to the life in the creek. Thankful to the Addalas for considering Floyds Fork during this project.
- Louisville Keep Your Fork was originally in support of this project but become more concerned with the proposed additional parking. Thankful to Nick Pregliasco and the Addalas for working out the compromise.
